MWalsh Posted August 27, 2024 #1 Posted August 27, 2024 You don't see a whole lot of Army Band branch insignia out there for sale or in photos. Not in my experience anyway. I came across this photo recently and since it clearly andf nicely showed this soldier's Band branch insignia, I thought it might be of interest. To my eye, he is wearing a Pre-WW2 Army uniform, and with a 24th Division patch
Salvage Sailor Posted August 27, 2024 #2 Posted August 27, 2024 Nice photo of a Musician in the M1926 enlisted summer uniform, looks like the 21st 'Gimlet' Infantry Regiment. The 'Taro' shoulder patch would be the 'Hawaiian Division' during this period, prior to their redesignation as the 24th Infantry Division. Thanks for posting this gem Here's the older 'standing collar' uniform with a musicians' disk Corporal, Third Engineer Regiment Musician Schofield Barracks, T.H. 1922-1925
