Marcum Posted August 27, 2024 #1 Posted August 27, 2024 My friend got this for me in a antique store in Pennsylvania. I believe its bietnam war but am not sure.
VietnamCollectors2823 Posted August 27, 2024 #2 Posted August 27, 2024 They were used late WWII up until the 80’s-90’s. This one looks like it is Korea-Vietnam. I believe the earlier ones were painted gray rather than green.
Kaptainssurplus Posted August 28, 2024 #3 Posted August 28, 2024 This is common markimgs for that manufacturer and date. 40/50s were grey, then this beer can style was used in the 60/70s till the mushroom top style that they use up to today. PB manufacturered beer can style had different labeling/markings compared to TAC. Even the tsr tubed were marked different.
Jcoll84 Posted August 28, 2024 #4 Posted August 28, 2024 Great find! I have a yellow M18 from 1954 still sealed in its tin. I'm not sure what it looks like on the inside but I won't be opening it to find out.

WW2 and Korean era ones came sealed in metal/tin cans, the tar tubes came later innthe 60s. The early ones also had grey color bodies and used the older M200 fuzes, not the newer M201A1 fuzes.
