SMLM Map - Germany

This is a 1970's era map that depicts the permanent and temporary restricted areas that the Soviet Military Liaison Mission vehicles and personnel were not allowed to be in.   Although in practice they did not adhere to the map.  Again, this would be posted on a Barracks wall and in the MP station.  The Military Liaison Mission is an interesting part of the "cold war" that was initiated following WW2 and ended @ the following of German unification and generally not a real well-known organization.  Besides the Soviets, the 3 allied occupying forces (US, Britain, France) also had MLM's that operated in the Soviet Zone of East Germany.
