digi-shots Posted August 3 #1 Posted August 3 I thought I had this figured out, but now after reading up on it I’m confused. I'm researching a Navy serviceman who was assigned to Naval Advisory Group, Vietnam (CHNAVADVGRP, 17 Jan 72). I have most of his medals and ribbons but this one is missing. His award sheet reads: ” Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation {Civil Actions Medal, First Class Color With Palm}. Is this award for a full medal and/or a service ribbon with a thin gold frame (Navy).. is the ribbon worn with other ribbons or alone on the right side of uniform? MUCs, NUCs and PUCs are unit awards and are service ribbons, but the description says “Civil Actions MEDAL”. Thanks!
digi-shots Posted August 3 Author #2 Posted August 3 I guess I’m hard headed, but still confused.. I think if I’m reading this right.. both service ribbon and medal can be worn.
