Hello everyone,

I got this WWII jeep first aid kit recently, and I am puzzled by a couple of its contents. There's a good group of regulation bandages and such, however there is a long, padded gauze bandage with ties that had a "FISH RENTAL SERVICE 6" ribbon crumpled up inside. The bandage measures about 80 inches (6 1/2 feet) with the ties fully extended. The "pad" is stitched down the middle where one of the ties is attached, while the other is on it's side. As for the blue-and-white strip of fabric, it measures 2 feet and is stitched off at the ends. Any thoughts as to what these two items might be would be much appreciated, as I am clueless.

Thanks in advance!
