Fixbayonets! Posted August 1, 2024 #1 Posted August 1, 2024 Interesting document authorizing 3 soldiers to escort a 2 1/2 ton truck delivering medical supplies for General Patton. The truck is heading to the hospital in Heidelburg where General Patton lay severely injured after his automobile accident. The document is dated December 13, 1945 (4 days after the accident and 8 days before the General succumbed to his injuries). The 3 soldiers were from the 563rd AAA AW BN.
