Small WW2 group of 158th Infantry "Bushmaster"

This little group of insignia is from John Yanc. I have not been able to find much about his service.

The medals are replacements ordered by the family some time back while the rest of the insignia is period original.

In my opinion the highlight of the group is the well-worn ring, it reads "158" on one side and "INF" on the other.
