A friend of mine found these and many others in a house cleanout and gave them to me. They are official army photos and almost all are marked like this. I would love to return these to family members if possible so my question is is there a free website where you don't have to go through the whole background check thing? Most of the individual photos have the persons name and hometown at that time. I know its a long shot but I know if there were pics of my dad out there I'd love it. Also the first pic is pretty neat with the painted burlap helmet covers. Thanks for any suggestions

A couple of very very rare photos on this very obscure combat unit, the 1950s 75th Regimental Combat Team on Okinawa.

1943: Organized as the 5307th Composite Unit (Provisional) in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations

1944: Consolidated with the 475th Infantry and designated as the 475th Infantry

1945: Inactivated in China on July 1

1954: Redesignated as the 75th Infantry on June 21 and allotted to the Regular Army on October 26

1956: Inactivated on Okinawa on March 2
