Bought alot of  late Indian wars

Spanish American reenactors hats and clothing. In the grouping I did notice a original white pith helmet and a Western Montana match ,North Western Matches Fort Missoula  Montana  shooting award medal. The medal is Sterling and marked" The Jos Mayer Co. Seattle USA". I believe it is a post 1897 medal.

There also was a Marksman  bar above the medal. It is the pre WW1 style I believe.

I used a the Google book search. I found the 1927 matchs at Ft. Missoula. Perhaps I will find others and I can possably find the awarded soldier. Anyone else have a medal like this? Your opinions are welcomed. Thank you.
