Question on WW1 - vs - WW2 Era, USN / USNR Discharge Lapel Pins ?

Good Morning My Friends, I've been attempting to determine if the WW1 manufacture USN / USNR Discharge Lapel Pins are any different than the later, WW2 manufactured variants ? Is there any way or method in which to determine between the earlier WW1, or later WW2 examples ? [ Other than overall appearance & wear factors, which of course are of very little use at all ? ] I have looked into the matter on the Web & elsewhere, yet there's seemingly very, very little information to be found, if you can even manage to find anything ! Any thoughts, comments, & or information will be very much appreciated !! THANK YOU Folks
