Edelweisse Posted June 9, 2024 #1 Posted June 9, 2024 Hi: Just bought a government issue depot box of .45 caliber ammo dated 1962...50 rounds all brass.... Is $25 good price or did I overpay?
doyler Posted June 9, 2024 #2 Posted June 9, 2024 Average price and in the range of a new box of 45 ammo. I see 50 rounds here can run $24-$35 a box of 50 depending on manufacturer and type of cartridge etc. Have seen some sellers ask more for WW@ dated ammo now in original boxes. Date can make a dofference in price to some. Also There are boxes of 45 like the shot shell cartridges used in survival kits that can bring fairly good money. Also the 62 dated ammo isnt corrosive. WW2 45 ammo is corrosive.
lilfry14 Posted June 10, 2024 #4 Posted June 10, 2024 A box of newly made .45 is generally $25, so from that perspective it's a good buy. I don't know how much value the vintageness of it adds, but it's surely more than 0.
