I've had this helmet for a few years but only recently realized that it's fairly odd from the usual CVC tanker helmets you see. The mic and comms are on the left ear instead of the right side. I've tried asking around but nobody I know knows what or why it's like that. Figured I'd ask here. The liner is made by gentex and the helmet is made by what I think is SPC Plastic Productions. Any thoughts would be nice. Thanks!20240606_071315.jpg.d3f9a1c432e41ceea9c14435916306d7.jpg20240606_071304.jpg.bbb2f5d7168f72755ae56f57ec5a886c.jpg20240606_071241.jpg.d1940e689f2445e715018e3dd08b129c.jpg20240606_071229.jpg.18ec6ef0958e9e54bc22b8a61feace0d.jpg

That Push To Talk box attached to the drop cord doesn't look like the correct system for a CVC Helmet.      That box on yours looks like the PTT/Battery Box normally associated with the Gentex Military Motorcycle Helmet MMC.   Most DH132/DH132A/DH132B have a 3 position lever on the right hand side ear cup.       OVer the years I've seen a few specialized CVC based helmet systems, one with extra hearing protection for M109 155mm SP Gun Crewmen as an example.

The Gentex PTT box type uses a Type N battery (looks like a shorter AAA).  Unscrew the end cap, insert the Type N nipple in,   I know on the MMCII the helmet incorporates an active hearing/noise reduction system in the left hand earcup, a small environmental microphone with foam wind cover protrudes out the front.    I have 2 of these Gentex MMCII the PTT box works on only one of them.    The boom mic and earphone speakers have a different part number from the US CVC DH132 or the HGU-56 series.   Some of these helmet electronics are dependent on the vehicular internal 24VDC for all its functions, the MMCII I can wear without connected to the radio or intercom, the AHP will transmit the background ambient noises to the earphone speakers.  If you decide to part with that helmet let me know, especially if the PTT box works with a Type N battery.  I contacted Gentex about the MMCII components nothing is available as it is no longer supported.
