Pictures of the Nike Hawk and Boeing Bomarc taken in 1967 at the Military Appreciation Days

in Yuma Az.  I was 10 at the time. My mother took the pictures for me.

I remember building a model of the Bomarc when I was a kid.

Father-in-law was a Hawk instructor at Ft Bliss for the Japanese for many years. He was a retired ADA Master Sergeant. He started out in Quad 50s, transitioned to M42 Dusters and finally to HAWKs. He just passed away on Easter Sunday 2024.

RIP dad.

I have similar images from my unit's Armed Forces Day display at Kadena AFB in 1971. HAWK AND Nike Hercules missiles, and Firebee/Towbee target drone.

Thanks Alan,

Yes it does.  It was a good weekend. I got to climb all over a M48 Patton

and I took a wild ride in a Huey.

Wow, that sounds like a fun weekend that you had. That would be great being able to take a ride in a Huey, and to be able to climb all over a M48 Patton.
