Should I use these trousers?

Hi, I'm putting together a field uniform of an officer from the 442nd RCT during late WW2 (I'm an Asian btw). I came across this pair of officer field trousers in OD shade 33, I heard that you should not use this trouser shade at all, but I'm not sure if that also applies to officers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
