New Romantic Posted March 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2009 I was searching on Google Books for info regarding early USMC testing and use of the M1910 haversack for http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=39429 I did run across some nice views of USMC enlisted and officer accouterments circa 1912. The enlisted Marine has been posted here before. I think Craig Pickrall was the original poster. Photos taken from- Uniform regulations: United States Marine corps, together with uniform regulations common to both U.S. Navy and Marine corps. Headquarters United States Marine corps, 1912 By United States. Marine Corps Edition: revised Published by Govt. print. off., 1917 First up is the enlisted Marine showing the 1878 blanket bag, 1904 haversack, M1903 cartridge belt, and M1910 canteen. Note how the canteen is the only piece of newer gear here.
