Hi everyone,

since some times ago i bought this patches lot at a militaria expo.

I identify four of them by the book of Morgan & Thurman but i didn't find any info on the other three.

May you give me some info on the nr. 5/6/7?

I consider these patcxhes as original theatre made, does is it correct?

Thanks.

Luca

Unfortunately, I believe all these to be modern reproductions, not theater made during the Vietnam War.

#2, #5 and #6 have computer stitching which wasn't around for patches during the war's time period.  #7 has what looks to be an artificial darkening which is commonly seen on modern reproduction patches.  (Honestly, I've never understood why people faking patches would darken the very side of the patch which one would logically conclude wouldn't be filthy.)  The other 2 just don't look right.

Number 4 - This is the first generation RT Anaconda Team Patch and was created some time in 1968. The war-time collector copy appears to be Vietnamese machine embroidered on a yellow base material. In the center of the patch is a white skull wearing a green beret with a snake coiled through the mouth and eye sockets. Across the top of the patch reads RT (RECON TEAM) ANACONDA and CCN RECON at the base. This was a Recon Team assigned to MAC-V-SOG Command and Control North (CCN) located at Da Nang, RVN adjacent to Marble Mountain. There were a total of 21 Americans assigned to this team between 1967 and 1971.
