Looking for information on the Award of the Army Presidential Unit Citation to Naval Units during Ww2 to the Korean war. Was it commonly for the Army to Award the Presidential Unit Citation to other service branches? I have a ribbon bar to a unidentified Naval officer who was awarded the Army Presidential Unit Citation with 1 bronze oak leaf cluster. He was involved in the defense of the Philippines early on during Ww2.
