ScottG Posted April 11, 2024 #1 Posted April 11, 2024 It's been a busy month or so and during this time I received a call about taking in a "Civil War" ambulance at the museum. We were certainly interested as the museum sits on a former Civil War site called Camp Blair. Alas it was not to be... But there was much happiness as instead we received this wonderful, unmessed with O. Armleder M1909 Ambulance which will complement our 1917 Model T Ambulance as well as our large WWI exhibit. If that wasn't cool enough, upon pick up we were informed that there were "extra parts". Those extra parts turned out to be a complete chassis and set of wheels/irons for another M1909 Ambulance! This time it appears to be a Studebaker. So, if one is good, two must be better right? Just kidding, we will not be keeping the second ambulance as we only need one and we have too many other restoration projects going at the moment. If anyone is interested in restoring a WWI ambulance wagon, we will have one available, simply contact me here. Scott
