Wonderful story! Thanks so much for sharing! What a cool journey!

Very nice for you to do!

(I do need to mention that Mr. Fike is a bit of a "hot button" topic among collectors, although his intentions are well meaning, many of the "lost" medals he tries to return have been legally sold by the same families that he is trying to return them to...some to even be sold off again.)

So does he buy the medals to return them to the family or does he pressure the owners into giving them up and sending them back to the family?

After thinking about it if it had to be done again I wouldn't do it again, no message from the family, it was my friend who brought it to the family as he was on vacation in the USA the thanks and gratitude were for my friend and more which had nothing to do with the find Mr. Fike, I sent a message to Mr. Fike not long ago for other identification for other dog tag plates that I had found in detection  he told me ask if Is it for a return to family? I'm already telling him to get some info then to see and for months no more news from Mr. Fike
