Trying to find info on a guy named Fred Dovey 

came from England served in US Cav.

the father was a dragoon in Victorian campaigns. 
have some documents and ribbon bars 

top is sons .

have us discharge dated July 1907 but not much on him ? 
they both seem to have been brave soldiers !

Very possible that was worn to celebrate the centennial. It appears that there are patriotic ribbons near his shoulders.

 

just reread that this is his son, so too late for centennial. Another patriot event perhaps.
