Complete Set Of Wings…..From Start To Finish

These are the Qualification Badges of Col. O.C. Nelson who was from Iuka, Mississippi. His “slick” wings to his “Command” pilot wings. I find it troubling that family members would not want these but they didn’t so I am the lucky keeper for now. Col Nelson served for 30 years through 3 wars. I have never really shown these in the forum so here they are. The early wartime wings are pin back and so are a few others.

I have a ball turret gunners helmet. I got a hold of his Daughter offered it back for free...

She said to keep it. That none of her kids had any interest. She was interested in it but felt,

after her, no one would care. Her older Sister sold everything off without consulting her.

Rooster I will gladly take more photos for you but it will be tomorrow. Late here now and the wings are at the far end of the house. Lol. Go to the firearm section and look at the 3 War Trophy thread I posted and look at all the Col’s stuff that none of his 3 sons wanted. Unbelievable.
