Patrol Squadron FIVE

Hey all, I'm just starting out as a patch collector an I'm trying to start with VP-5 as where I'm from we currently have a P8 out here from that squadron .

 

My question is how can i tell the difference between the P3 era and the P8 era as I'm seeing quite a few different variants  .

 

sites like tiger-emb.com have many different ones but I'm trying to work out what's what.
