The Bronze Acorn

Hello everyone,

 

Today like many of you I received my latest JOMSA containing a very interesting article on Dated Philippine Campaign Medals by Allen Menke.

In this article he briefly mentions a device worn on this medal called The Bronze Acorn.....I  had never heard of this before and was wondering what it looked like. And any other information on what I assume is a rare device.

Jim, I think Allen was referring to a device worn on the Philippine Constabulary medals not on the US Philippine Insurrection medal.

I  think you must be correct as I am sure such a device would have been widely documented if it was worn on the PCM
