What are these soldiers doing? (Korean War)

Hi Everybody,

 

I've been helping my friend with some photos for his Youtube channel. These two photos were taken in Korea during the Korean War around 1951/52. They show 8th Army soldiers (possibly from an engineer unit) doing something on a riverbank. But what are they actually doing? Are they setting up a flare or booby trap? Or are they diffusing a booby trap? Or setting up some kind of siren? It would be great to get some input and opinions what you think these photos actually show. Thanks!

It looks like an oil lamp attached to a board.

3.5 inch Bazooka rocket put into a launch trough and wired for launch. Similar to the M24 off route anti tank mine.
