Very odd Japanese flag. What the heck is it?

Uniforms of the Day

This came from the grandson of the man who owned it. All I know is that the man was in a supply related role, in the Pacific, during WWII. I have never seen anything like this. I can't even state that it is military. If anybody has any clues I would be most grateful. 

It is quality made. Approx. 36" wide.

The flag in the picture is upside down.

 

This flag is the "Youth Training School" flag.

The organization conducted military training for young people around 1930.

Thanks. You guys were right on. It is for the Yamasa Youth Training Center. Apparently, Yamasa, a large soy sauce company in Japan, established their own training center. Pre-military age employees could attend the training before or after work.
