smwinter207 Posted February 26 Share #1 Posted February 26 Not sure if this one is real, but it was cheap. What I like is the torn rope, but I've only seen one real one and many fakes. Thx S
USCapturephotos Posted February 26 Share #2 Posted February 26 I will be interested to see what others say as I'm still not confident telling the originals from the fakes with NVA/VC flags. Paul
manayunkman Posted February 26 Share #3 Posted February 26 Does the red look like it’s running or brushed on. Lots of VC flags have colors that run. Whats the veteran story that qualifies it’s being in this section?
smwinter207 Posted February 26 Author Share #4 Posted February 26 I bought it at the show. It was hiding on a shelf. To be honest, neither one of use knew what it was, just that it was NVA colors. I don’t think the colors are painted on, but I don’t know. The yellow ran too(4th photo). I think it could have gotten wet and folded over possibly. It was a house cleanout in Michigan. Seller couldn’t guarantee authenticity. But it was cheap. The ropes were the unique aspect to me, bc I’ve seen the tie string reproductions many times. This one I found on a collector site. It’s a little different.
smwinter207 Posted February 27 Author Share #5 Posted February 27 Does this look like the same yellow fringe? Kind of wispy versus the nicer looped version?
