PAD Posted February 18, 2024 #1 Posted February 18, 2024 Hi everyone, The Navy obviously changed the design of aviators' leather name tags across the years. There are the pre - early WWII design. Then the one used in WWII, Korea, and through the 60s. Then there is the "modern" design. > Would anyone know when the Navy moved to the "modern" design? Was it in the mid/late 60s. or 70s, or 80?? Many thanks for your help - see below examples from the WWII / Korea / 60s design and from the "modern" one. Best
B-17Guy Posted February 21, 2024 #2 Posted February 21, 2024 In my experience, there is no standard wing on name tags. It is a complete mixed bag, depending on where and by whom it was made. Especially once you get to the 1950’s-60’s era. John
