T1gertank519 Posted February 16, 2024 #1 Posted February 16, 2024 Hey y'all, I recently found a uniform that belonged to a guy named Dennis J Donovan (April 30th 1916 - December 16th 1981). I am hoping to try to get in touch with his family and learn more about his service. It appears that he and his wife Hattie May did have atleast one child, but I am unable to find their name. I would appreciate any help with this challenging ordeal. Dennis J Donovan's FindAGrave https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/592004/dennis-j-donovan Donovan's Army Serial/ Service Number : 39302629 He lived in Oregon after the war, although I have found record of him in California and Montana as well. Best, Preston
Marshallj Posted February 17, 2024 #2 Posted February 17, 2024 Good luck. If someone asked about my dad's WW2 service I could tell you what unit he was in and a couple stories he had shared. That's about it. Not sure that Donovan's kids will have much to say.
Big Iron Posted May 24, 2024 #4 Posted May 24, 2024 His headstone reads PVT while the newspaper clipping on Find a Grave lists Sgt. Any idea why?
