This Grouping was gifted to me this past week, it was given to me by the soldiers girlfriend. He passed away in 2018. It all started when talking about animals, especially dogs and how Ron was a big husky lover, he even started and organization caring for terminally ill huskies former sled dogs and so forth, actually he would help anyone who has a sick animal, and pay for it out of his own pocket. I wish I could have met him. Well anyway all of a sudden the girlfriend asked if anyone wanted a mounties uniform?, I said Canadian mountie? She said yes they made him a honorary mounties for his work with sled dogs. So I said I'll take if you have no home for it, I told I collect military. Then she asked if I wanted his Vietnam stuff seeing he has no relatives to give it to. She wants to find a home. She already through away some small Vietnamese diaries I think. And his brass knuckles. And I said  please don't throw anything else away. She still has a scrapbook with all his medals citations and flags and all kinds of cool stuff, but she not ready to part. with that yet, she said it's mine when she's ready to let it go, perfectly understandable. The bring backs in this group are spectacular, there lots of veterans stuff as he was very active in. I also think his father might have been a WW2 vet seeing there are campaign medals mixed in . There are also camos she has and asked if I wanted them I said yes anything and everything you you don't want it. She has to dig them out. She a very lovely lady who can tells misses him alot. She went through the whole scrapbook with me and the stories were awesome. I going to ask if I can take pictures of the medal citations, one Bronze star was running out into a rice paddy to rescue a wounded guy.  He also has a silver star but was not in group, I pretty sure the citation is in the scrapbook. She said there wAs another display of medals but are not his originals a good friend made one up for him. He was also a Albany NY police officer in the 70's and won a medal for saving at least 10 people from a burning building. Not sure if those details , I saw the old newspaper article. And then he was sr president of the NY State Thruway for many years.  I would like to restore his uniform can someone tell the right order for his ribbons? . There is a picture showing the single ribbons  for refrence. Also any badges he was due ? I'll have to look at his dd214 if I get a chance. Enjoy the pictures

Super grouping. So glad that you got it. The VC flags and gas mask are incredible. Haven't seen one of the early VC gas masks for a long time. Thanks for posting. Great stuff. Dave
