Civrel Posted February 11, 2024 #1 Posted February 11, 2024 I am trying to find information on Mr. Westerman. He was a long time friend of my fathers and he left his dog tags to my father, who was also in WWII. I believe that the "O" preceding the dash is for officer and officers are not included in the online ASN search. Walter served in Europe and I remember him saying that his unit collected old uniforms (American, British, German, Balkans, etc). I also remember him saying that he was in post war Germany after the war ended. Can anyone shed help any light in Mr. Westerman's service?
Civrel Posted February 12, 2024 Author #4 Posted February 12, 2024 Thank you! I had lost touch with him after my father died in 1991. He is buried in the same cemetery as my parents.
