US Navy Philippine Constabulary Group

Thought I would post this picture of my friend's group. You don't often see Navy groups with a Philippine Constabulary campaign medal.

In the 1920’s - I forgot the exact date - The gunboat USS Sacramento sent a landing party to help quell a disturbance on Mindanao - For that action the entire crew was awarded the Philippine Mindanao-Sulu Campaign medal by the Philippine government - I am guessing this group belonged to the Senior Chief on the Sacramento,

I have a mounted pair of a named Navy GCM and the Mindanao-Sulu medal to an Electrician from the Sacramento.

And it appears the WW1 VM is rimed engraved.   Nice!

Yes, I believe it is USS Newport. The Mexican Service is also rim engraved but I could not make out details.

I found the George Harris Catalog writeup for this group from 1989 - The Mexico, Dominican, WWI, and the Mindanao-Sulu are engraved to P.T. Mary with some service details.

I remember those Gorge Harris catalogs from when I was starting to collect. They were also a good source of information.
