usmedalman Posted February 11, 2024 #1 Posted February 11, 2024 Thought I would post this picture of my friend's group. You don't often see Navy groups with a Philippine Constabulary campaign medal.
USMCR79 Posted February 11, 2024 #2 Posted February 11, 2024 In the 1920’s - I forgot the exact date - The gunboat USS Sacramento sent a landing party to help quell a disturbance on Mindanao - For that action the entire crew was awarded the Philippine Mindanao-Sulu Campaign medal by the Philippine government - I am guessing this group belonged to the Senior Chief on the Sacramento, Bill

RustyCanteen Posted February 11, 2024 #6 Posted February 11, 2024 Excellent group! The amount of history represented is fascinating to consider. RC

I found the George Harris Catalog writeup for this group from 1989 - The Mexico, Dominican, WWI, and the Mindanao-Sulu are engraved to P.T. Mary with some service details. Bill
