USMC_COLLECTOR Posted February 4 Share #1 Posted February 4 This is my interwar 2nd Infantry Division impression. Sentry duty at Fort Benning after its reorganization there in 1958. All original, let me know if there’s anything I could do better. Thanks for looking. Any comments appreciated.
Salvage Sailor Posted February 4 Share #2 Posted February 4 Very nice get-up, although I believe the proper era terminology would be "Postwar" vs. "Interwar". 'Interwar' is the time out period between the World War (part 1) & the World War (part 2), i.e. 1919-1939/41 'Postwar' would be the proper timeframe here, 1946-1960's, i.e. after WWII to Vietnam (which always negates the 'Police Action' in Korea 1950-53) There ya go
USMC_COLLECTOR Posted February 4 Author Share #3 Posted February 4 Perfect. My “Postwar” impression. Thanks for the correction! 25 minutes ago, Salvage Sailor said: Very nice get-up, although I believe the proper era terminology would be "Postwar" vs. "Interwar". The Rooster Posted February 4 Share #8 Posted February 4 You need an MP arm band and if you can find one, an MP marked helmet liner

USMC_COLLECTOR Posted February 4 Author Share #10 Posted February 4 I was going for a simple assignment, hence no MP brassard or helmet. If that wouldn't be accurate, please let me know. Just an infantryman on a post.
The Rooster Posted February 5 Share #11 Posted February 5 The only way someone would know its sentry duty is if you told them. A billy Club and an MP Arm Band would convey something akin to that with out having to inform anyone. The MP Arm Band and a MP liner would tie it in.
