usmedalman Posted January 13, 2024 #1 Posted January 13, 2024 I came across this the other day. No box, but that brooch is a dead ringer for the one on my Robbins DSC. Picture makes the medal look a little more copper colored. Pendant is thinner than on numbered pieces. I think this might be post-WWII. Although I know Robbins had a contract in 1941 I have not seen a medal from that contract.
bulldog06 Posted January 13, 2024 #2 Posted January 13, 2024 I haven't seen a medal like this before. I am unaware of any CW contract between the numbered 1941 Robbins and the 1960's crimp broach medals. Here are pictures of the Robbins 1941 version. The New Medal List chart lists these medals in the #3500 to #3700 range. Mike

Research done by Nier and Menke in the last 20 years has adjusted the number range for the Northern Stamping contracts, which has pushed the Robbins number range up to 3601 to 3900
