36-tex Posted March 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2009 As I was sorting this a.m., I found a pair of these as well as a pair of sgt. made the same way. Any info would be great. I believe them to be circa 1940's.

craig_pickrall Posted March 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2009 They are one of the many variations of US made chevrons during WW2.
Lee Ragan Posted March 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 23, 2009 I have some like these and I believe that Emerson's book on chevrons suggests these are actually 1930's vintage, U.S. made chevrons. I may be wrong on this (don't have the book here with me), but I sure wouldn't rule out WWII foreign made. What do you chevron gurus make of these? Yes, these chevrons might be ca. 1936. Refer to Emerson pp. 188 - 189 when you get back to your library.
