kyhistorian01 Posted January 4, 2024 #1 Posted January 4, 2024 This mess dress from my collection is named to Lt Gen Donald P. Booth, West Point class of 1926. He was commissioned in the Engineers and served in various positions through the 1930s including 3 years as an instructor at West Point. From 1942 - 1945 he served as Director of Ports, Chief of Staff and as Commanding General of the Persian Gulf Command. In the post war years he served as commanding General of the 28th Div and later the 9th Division in Germany. In 1957 he decam Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel in Washington. From 1958-61 he served as High Commissioner for the ryukyu islands and he retired in 1963 as Commanding General of the 4th Army. He passed away in 1993
