willysmb44 Posted January 2 Share #1 Posted January 2 Has anyone got one of these and mounted it onto a real Tommy gun lower? If so, any opinions?
willysmb44 Posted January 2 Author Share #2 Posted January 2 This is what I'm talking about. I'm wanting to know how well they work.
Historic Artillery Posted February 29 Share #3 Posted February 29 I mounted one to a Doug Richardson M1A1 complete kit which is a "real Tommy gun lower" Mounted directly with no modifications needed. Worked fine except for some inconsistent blank ammo issues. These seem to be not as much of an issue now.
willysmb44 Posted June 4 Author Share #4 Posted June 4 I have it off at a gunsmith right now to remedy one incorrectly milled hole and to attach the sights (Indy Ord won't do that, I asked). Can't wait to fire the thing, even though I haven't done a "shooting blanks" event in many years...
72psb Posted June 4 Share #5 Posted June 4 My department had two of the real thing. (Former USMC) What a gas to shoot when you do not have to pay for the ammo. I can see your attraction to it.
