Can someone please give me some info on this cap?  I can't find much info on these.  What does the different color plume mean? The hat is two tone, does that mean something?  Is this Span Am???  Thanks for your help!!!

Many military schools, and marching bands have used that style. That is not a West Point plate. I don't know about the "plume."!7

The West Point Shakos I've seen are black with a solid black plume or feathered plume, and the buttons say cadet.  Mine has infantry buttons, and the plate dates to the Indian/Spanish America wars from what research I could find.

The plate is the 1881 design for the Army's dress helmet. It's still being made and used on headgear for non-military marching bands. I suspect your shako is a mid- to late-20th Century item for a school marching band. The material from which the liner is made looks like that, too
