Pre WWII Era USN Log album USS California

This USS California (BB-44) remembrance album is loaded with photos…most of which were taken in Oregon during the 1930’s.  Unfortunately, very few of the photos are military in nature.  You may already know the USS California was attacked at Pearl Harbor, and sank three days later.  Her crew suffered horrific casualties and four crewmen were awarded the MOH.  The ship was eventually raised, repaired, and brought back into service on Jan 1944.  It went on to participate numerous battles in the Pacific.   Please feel free to visit Wikipedia for more fascinating details.
