Hi, I’m new to this site. Hubby and I are liquidating his parent’s estate. There are a lot of US Military items. We have what looks to us like an authentic Dewey medal. Walter J Clark is on the roll for the USS Raleigh. I’ve been reading up and seeing the comments about fakes, so if possible I’d like to ask the group your thoughts on what we have. There is a ribbon bar/pin with the medal as well but I’ve not seen any discussion on whether there really was a bar that went with the medal. I don’t see any indication of a Tiffany mark. It’s in a box but I don’t think that is original. Thank you in advance for any help and guidance. Debbie

The medal looks 100% correct to me.  That is not the original box.
