jmar Posted October 28, 2023 #1 Posted October 28, 2023 Hello all! I hope this thread finds you all well. I'm looking forward to spending more time here as my retirement is only a few weeks away. I've been hunting this odd variation of USN GCMs for decades and finally stumbled on one this year. The Loxit contract produced these GCMs in 1911 & 1912. The most noticeable attribute is the wire planchet suspension bar. An uncommon piece presented to a 30 year Navy Veteran. Thank you for stopping in! Best wishes! Joe
jmar Posted October 29, 2023 Author #2 Posted October 29, 2023 Dear Mods, I just realized this is in the main category. I intended it to be added to the thread "Lets see some US NAVY Good Conduct Medals" If possible could you please move it there at your convenience. Thank you! Joe

Hope you've been doing well. Thank you for your comments, it is quite an oddball for sure. I learned about this contract awhile ago and finally scored one. Keep watching USN GCMs and one will no doubt turn up for you, I got mine on ebay for a reasonable BIN with his ID tag with no mention of the uncommon Loxit Contract in the description! Best wishes always! Joe
