Can Someone Decipher These Vehicle Markings ?

Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to help a friend identify a unit based on some photos. However, I haven't had any luck yet. Can anyone decipher the vehicle markings on the truck? Looks like 7 A 14 D and DS 47. I know "7 A" is for 7th Army, but what does the rest stand for? Or is it maybe another letter like "Q"?  The photo was taken approximately 1953 in Germany.

Here is another photo from the same unknown unit. All the vehicles have what looks like "7 A 14 D" on the bumper. But what could 14 D (or maybe Q ?) stand for?

Thank you for your help!

Here's  semi-educated/experienced guess: 7th Army (as you said), 14th Ordnance Maintenance Company (listed on the US Army Europe organization) and the vehicle number is DS 47 for a truck in the "direct support platoon".  This means the platoon had a support relationship with a specific unit within 7th Army.

Thank you very much for your identification! The other photos in the group confirm that it is definitely the 14th Ordnance Company. The "O" just looked so much like a "D" to me.
