Hi again  american friends,

This helmet will be sold in an french auction.

If possible, I'd like to have your opinions.

I put some pics below.

To be honest, I'm not sure of this one. It's just a feeling.

Thanks' for your help.

Dominique

The pictures get too fuzzy when you blow them up for details but it sure looks nice.

Any close ups?

Hi Dominique, hope you are well.

Is there a photo of the inside?  Any close-up photos of the painting?  The colors are consistent with what was available to US troops in France, but that does not necessarily mean it is original. Most if not all of the 77th helmets I have seen have the shell scraped smooth before the application of the 77th insignia, this one does not - but it is also not just a normal 77th parade helmet.

What is after the 77? Looks like a "U"

I second AustinO, I like the paint scheme and colors. It does sort of look like it was painted in France as opposed to on journey home or stateside.

From the chipping it looks like the 77th insignia was painted over the camo, that is maybe done at a later time.

Lots of speculations, but overall looks like a nice helmet.

I would be wary of the liner and chinstrap possibly having been added.  I like the paint.
