Phillip Brandt Posted September 25, 2023 #1 Posted September 25, 2023 I have had a P14 for close to 30 years, never really looked at it close until I aquired a M1917 and want to compare the two. I know what your thinking "you've had this thing for 30 years and didn't look at it. I bought it at a pawn shop outside of Ft Polk LA. back in 1991 just needed a cheap deer rifle and $350 wasn't to bad. Now that I have looked it over I find it has few markings on it. I wondering if this was made in the states and never shipped to the UK. The three photos show what I could find.

Phillip Brandt Posted September 26, 2023 Author #3 Posted September 26, 2023 A follow up to this. I found a video on YouTube that explains some of the markings. It looks like this was imported into the states but Century Arms International, but it appears to be a P14 on a M1917 stock. It has the American eagles head stamp on the stock and no sign of the volley sights on the left side of the stock. After closer examination I have found a matching serial number on the bolt handle and a small number 37 on the stock just behind the trigger guard. The parts are almost all stamp with "E" Eddystone and one "R" Remington which follows. How, when or why this P14 ended up on this stock is anyone's guess. I assume they had a bunch of parts and just assembled what they could to sell.
