Something about the Punitive Expedition and Border is very interesting to me. Maybe it's the proximity since I'm a Texas guy. Seeing cav troopers in 1915 pics that look like they could be from the Civil War or Plains War era, but with modern web, bolt actions and mg's. The end of soldiers wearing slouch hats on campaign! (maybe not counting China Marines a little later) Anyhow here are a couple of my wheel guns, an 03 Colt 38 and big brother 09 Colt 45. Both in LC of course. 03 is fitted with 09 leather holster and 03 Army rig, while the 09 has a Mills Navy web rig. Thanks for looking!

Very nice pair of pistols and accouterments! Beautiful display too!  My own M1911 was shipped to San Antonio Arsenal in Feb. 1914, so maybe it was on the border too!
