JosephC Posted September 5, 2023 #1 Posted September 5, 2023 Footlocker grouping belonging to John McMorran. A civil engineer with 841st aviation battalion. Photos note Dow Field Maine, Australia, New Guinea, Clark Field Luzon. Also one saying 924th engineer aviation regmt 3rd battalion army airbase Richmond Va. McMorran worked for NYS public works and then Department of Transportation with involvement in the NYS Thruway system. He was a captain in some pics and then major. There is also an earlier photo in WWI era uniform. Rest of album family shots from 1900's through 1950s. Japanese mess tin used to store some stuff.
JosephC Posted September 6, 2023 Author #2 Posted September 6, 2023 And coincidentally I already had in my possession the officer coat of another 841st Aviation Battalion member Lt Charles E Haggerty.
bammerbb Posted September 9, 2023 #3 Posted September 9, 2023 I'm really interested in decorations and medals from WW2. I'm interested in the second from the bottom in the ribbon bars. It has a pinkish (that's what it looks to my eyes) with a blue and white stripes in the middle. I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Proud son of a ww2 vet, Brian Blankenburg
