I picked up this WWI summer uniform and need help IDing the patch on the right sleeve.  Many thanks.

The circular patch in the center indicates Pvt 1st class belonging to motor transport corps.

 

And in general, I think chauffeur 1st class is the only patch that has a single line under the branch symbol.
But I never saw that rank in motor transport corps.


Maybe my memory is fuzzy.

Agreed with Salvage Sailor. Chauffeurs were authorized in all branches, and I think this Motor Transport Corps driver substituted his branch device in place of the official 12-spoke wheel. There were almost endless non-regulation enlisted ranks used in the WW1 period.
