I received this amazing group from the widow, a friend of mine, 25 years ago.  Richard Nell was a prospect for the major leagues and being recruited when he enlisted in WWII.  He was attached to the 133d AAA Battalion as part of the 9th AAC.  This group includes his Ike, pants, overcoat, unit history book, some 200+ photos, spoons taken from an airfield near Dachau and much more.  There were many more (trophy items) that were pulled from the group years ago by a local collector.  He has long sold them off....

It’s been stored away all of this time, and needs to breathe.  He took photos of everything from his unit, the attached armored units, Dachau camp, Berchtesgaden and downed German planes and tracked vehicles.  Enjoy!

Very nice grouping Tom, thanks for sharing. There is something truly special about groups that come  directly from the family. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent group, love IXth Air Defense Command related groups!

Great group. I love the photos. More and more I like getting photographs when I find them. I'm lucky as my dad took many pictures as his division (the 32nd) moved through New Guinea, the Philippines and occupation duty in Japan.

Nice group. Every time I see photos of rare aircraft just sitting there in good condition...argh.....

I'm hoping to bring this to either the MAX or the SOS in February, should anyone want a hands-on inspection.
