My Dad started off in WW2 in Alaska when the Japanese invaded it flew on PBY's as flight engineer. Then went to Avengers on aircraft carriers. Was on the bunker hill off Okinawa when it got kamikazed, he escaped the fire by jumping onto a catwalk along the edge of the flight deck. There are a few photos of my dad with his brother Bob on occupation duty after the war and a photograph of Maires graves. And one of a B-29 the Navy used as weather planes after WW2. Got a few of his Vietnam photos I might post later.
