Uriah Sloan would Enlist September 4th 1861 he would be put in the Company B of the 103rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment, which was in the army of the Potomac. In 1862 he would serve with McClennan in the Peninsula Campaign. April 20th 1864 he and most of his regiment would be captured during the Battle of Plymouth. He would be at 3 different Prisoner of War Camps. Andersonville Prison, Charleston Prison, and Florence Prison. He would be released February 1865.
