Possible Post-WWII Torpedoman's Mate Aviation?

I recently received this Aviation Working Green Chief Torpedoman's Mate alongside 3 Chief Aviation Storekeepers/Storekeeper Aviation (they're the long key specialty mark with applied chevrons) also on Aviation Working Green. The weird thing about it is that the specialty mark is facing backwards despite having a left arm style eagle and having fully embroidered chevrons.

I also have this 1941 dated Torpedoman's Mate with the same thing on khaki. I know that there was confusion on these rates during WWII but I know it was mentioned in a "Letter to the Editor" in a WWII edition of All Hands Magazine that I have shown below.

Anyone have any insight on this or have an example to show?
